This August, Gunnersbury Park will once again transform into the vibrant epicentre of West London's live music scene, as Festival Republic gets set to host five days of festival-style concerts. Last year's lineup was huge, featuring some of the biggest and best names in music, such as Korn and Tom Grennan, but with a lineup of world-class talent that spans electronic, rock, indie, and psychedelic sounds, this year’s lineup is arguably even better.

The series begins on Friday 8th August, when tech-house DJ and producer PAWSA takes over the park for a special 7-hour set. PAWSA has announced a number of 'PAWSA in the Park' dates for this year, with this one guaranteed to be extra special given it is a hometown show. The show has been announced with special guests TBA, meaning there are even more exciting acts set to be joining one of the most influential names on the electronic scene.

Saturday 9th August then sees a shift to indie-rock as British music icons The Libertines take over the park. Having seen The Libertines on their most recent tour, describing them as a must-see act for all, I can promise this will be a night you don't want to miss. Before The Libertines take to the stage, concertgoers will be treated to one of this year's best supporting line-ups, including Supergrass, who are set to light up the stage with their feel-good hits, and SOFT PLAY, who possess an uncompromising energy on stage. The supporting line-up is completed by the genre-blending excellence of Hak Baker, the riotous punk of Lambrini Girls and the infectious energy of Real Farmer. Having seen a number of the acts on this line-up already, I can safely say this will be one of the greatest days of live music anywhere this summer.

The rock theme continues on Sunday, August 10th; however, this time the series will shift into a more alternative tone, as alt-rock trailblazers The Smashing Pumpkins roll into town. Led by iconic frontman Billy Corgan, their Gunnersbury show is set to be an epic blend of 90s nostalgia and modern firepower. The night's lineup of special guests is fronted by the ever-commanding Skunk Anansie, whose politically charged performances remain as vital as ever. With Skunk Anansie absolutely smashing it on their recent tour and releasing one of the albums of the year with 'The Painful Truth', this will be a set you don't want to miss. The Smashing Pumpkins and Skunk Anansie will also be joined by one of the most captivating live bands in White Lies, as well as death-pop duo VOWWS and LA rockers Rocket.

A second weekend of music will open on Friday 15th August with the atmospheric magic of Texan trio Khruangbin in what will be their biggest UK show to date. This genre-expansive outfit blends aspects of Thai funk, surf rock, soul, and psychedelia, which are brought to life in a whole new way through their deeply immersive live performances. Their Gunnersbury set promises to be no exception, especially with support from another genre-defying act TV on the Radio, the powerful tones of London’s own Palace, and the introspective and emotionally charged sounds of NoSo.

Saturday 16th August will then see two weekends of live music come to a show in a night that will epitomise party atmosphere, closing this year's event series out on a euphoric high. Global EDM phenomenon Martin Garrix returns to London for the first time in seven years for what’s expected to be one of his most spectacular UK headline performances to date. Fans should expect a stunning light show, massive visuals, and a setlist packed with some of the biggest EDM hits like Animals, Scared to Be Lonely, and High on Life. Joining him on the night are Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia, exciting electro-folk DJ BUNT, and rising stars Lavern, Megisto, and Nova Blue, all delivering the kind of energy and sound that keeps dance fans going well into the night, closing out Festival Republic: Gunnersbury Park 2025 in the most perfect style.
