The end of April saw pop and R&B artist Yarin Glam release her powerful new single 'Human', which will also act as the title track of her upcoming debut EP expected this year. The new single is an introspective exploration that comforts listeners with the fact it is okay not to have every aspect of life figured out, it is okay to embrace vulnerability and to live day to day just trying your best. This sort of profoundness is a consistent theme amongst Yarin's releases, as she often blends a deep sense of emotional authenticity into her music, making each track even more relatable.
This sort of emotional authenticity was also on show in Yarin Glam's first release of 2025, 'Rebel', which was also the first track to be released from the upcoming Human EP. Much like 'Human', 'Rebel' is an empowering anthem that pushes listeners to fight back against toxic expectations of society, instead urging them to embrace their true selves. Sonically, the track pulls on a multitude of genres, including alt-pop and R&B, showing the wealth of musical talent that Yarin is able to tap into, creating masterpieces no matter the genre. It is this adaptability which makes Yarin's upcoming debut EP even more exciting, as there is no doubt every song is going to be an individualistic triumph, and yet they will all combine to make a truly special body of music.
To celebrate the recent releases of 'Rebel' and 'Human', and the upcoming EP release, I am joined by Yarin Glam to discover the songs that shaped her through my 'Songs Behind' feature.
