Dylan - 'Bad'

It is quite impressie how someone can be so 'Bad' and yet so deeply incredible, but that is exactly what Dylan has managed to achieve with her newest single. 'Bad' kicks off this week's Songs of the Week in the most infectious way. Her vocals are sensational throughout, blending a rawer rockier sound with softer gripping sections. The song is an anthem in the truest sense, providing the perfect listen for anyone who wants to step up and flip the table on people taking them for granted.

Official Shannon - 'TMI'

The next song in this week's list is the stunning new track from vocal powerhouse Official Shannon, in what feels like her most self-assured release to date. 'TMI' flawlessly blends elements of soul and R&B, showcasing Shannon's spellbinding vocals alongside a catchy backing track. Alongside being musically impressive, the new single also brings with it an important positive message about the need to treat everyone with more respect and kindness.

The Prior - 'Be Your Girl'

A debut single being good is one thing, but a debut single authentically stamping your mark on a genre and showcasing a high level of musicality whilst doing so is beyond impressive. That is exactly what Manchester-based five-piece The Prior have managed to do on their debut single 'Be Your Girl'. The song spans multiple genres such as americana, folk and even brings in some classic rock influences, all of which are masterfully delivered. The vocals are outstanding, the guitar lines are gritty, and the overall soundscape is excellent.

The Corvids - 'Bones'

Alt-rock band The Corvids have had a deeply impressive 2025 so far. Having only released their debut single 'Aurelia' in January, the band have managed to put out another three stellar singles, with the most recent release 'Bones' coming out last week. This emotionally raw track has a sensational guitar line acting as its sonic spine, being joined by heavy-hitting drums, a well-balanced bassline and some quite poignant lyricism about feelings of isolation.

bee ft. Baeksik - 'have we?'

Dream pop artist bee has recently paired up with another talented artist, Baeksik, to create the special single 'have we?'. The song, which continues bee's streak of excellent dream pop releases, also utilises some lo-fi aspects to create an ethereal soundscape that highlights the duo's well-matched harmonious vocals. Being inspired by the East Asian legend of the red string of fate, 'have we?' reflects on fate and invisible connections that never fully developed.

Ocean Tisdall - 'Sugar In His Tea'

After a short break from music, highly acclaimed artist Ocean Tisdall has made his long-awaited return in the most spellbinding fashion. His new single 'Sugar In His Tea' is a dynamic masterpiece, starting off as a soft and subtle piece, before building into a moving anthem that really highlights the emotion being poured into the song. The songwriting on this song is some of Ocean's best to date, and there is no doubting that if there are more new releases on the way, we could be about to witness a meteoric rise to the top of the industry.

Henry Grace - 'Say Something Mean'

Another long wait for new music has come to an end, as critically acclaimed artist Henry Grace has just dropped his first new music in three years, and could not have done so in a better way. 'Say Something Mean' is a trans-Atlantic masterpiece, combining influences from both sides of the pond to create an authentic track that provides the perfect reintroduction to Henry Grace. His vocal tones are as crisp as ever, delivering the relatable lyrics in a powerful fashion, backed up by a striking instrumental.

Oli Bruce - 'Man on the Moon'

Cambridgeshire-based singer-songwriter Oli Bruce has just released his third dazzling single of the year, 'Man on the Moon'. The track, which takes inspiration from the DreamWorks logo, explores feelings of isolation in the most poignant way. The carefully crafted instrumental, which features delicate background additions making the song even more atmospheric, provides a flawless platform for Oli to showcase his emotion-inducing vocals. This is Bruce's most balanced single to date, which seem to get better with every release.

Ted Osborne - 'Ok see you soon'

Another artist who just put out his third single of the year is Ted Osborne, who released new track 'Ok see you soon' earlier this month. This extremely reflective number showcases Osborne's well-balanced raspy vocals in the most expressive way, creating a tenderly reflective piece that will evoke personal emotions upon listening. Ted's clever lyricism invites listeners to project their own experiences onto the song, allowing it to take on a unique and personal meaning for each individual.

Clare Cordell - 'Big Girl'

This week's Songs of the Week close on a high note with Clare Cordell's soulful new release 'Big Girl', an empowrering track for people who spend their life feeling like an 'other'. It is a statement of self-confidence, that you shouldn't have to rely on others validations to feel good about yourself, all whilst calling out people who spend thier life judging others. Clare's vocals are mesmerising throughout, being supported by some breathtaking harmonies.
