Hannah Grace - 'Glorious World'
Hannah Grace kicks off this week’s Songs of the Week campaign with the radiant new track ‘Glorious World’. The song is taken from the Welsh singer-songwriter’s recently released second album ‘Bigger Picture’, which flawlessly blends folk, pop, jazz and soul into something timeless, held together by Hannah’s spellbinding voice and sincere songwriting. ‘Glorious World’, which is the album’s opening track, acts as the perfect entry point. It is a windows-down, road trip anthem that captures the warmth and positivity running throughout the album. Having released the album completely independently, Hannah sounds more confident and self-assured than ever, with ‘Bigger Picture’ feeling like a defining statement of her artistry so far.

Lusaint - 'Lie To Yourself'
Lusaint has continues her stellar 2025 with the release of a brand-new EP, ‘The Apothecary (Pt. 1)’, led by the powerful single ‘Lie To Yourself’. A bold contrast to her softer recent track ‘Summertime’, the song bursts with infectious energy, weaving soul and pop into a vibrant, cathartic anthem. Lusaint’s rich, effortless vocals soar above the up-tempo groove, capturing the heartbreak of loving someone who’s hurt you, while still struggling to let go. It’s a striking introduction to an EP that flawlessly captures the healing journey from heartbreak to starting over. Lusaint has all the talent to reach the very top of the music industry, and seems to take a huge step closer with each new release.
Izza Gara - 'Favour'
Genre-diverse superstar Izza Gara has taken influences from 00s electro, pop, and R&B in her euphoric new single ‘Favour’. Nostalgic yet forward-looking, the track blends shimmering production with a fierce undercurrent of empowerment, teasing what’s to come from her forthcoming EP ‘Superbia Hardcore’. Gara flips industry stereotypes on their head, satirizing the way fashionable, kind, and outspoken women are often dismissed as shallow, and instead reclaiming control of the narrative. With its pulsing beats, glossy hooks, and fearless message, ‘Favour’ cements Izza Gara as a genre-blending trailblazer rewriting the rules for a new generation of artists.

Marta - 'Run Away'
With every release this year, indie-pop artist Marta has got better and better, but her new single ‘Run Away’ may just be her best to date. The song is a heartfelt and hopeful synth-driven love anthem that celebrates the kind of connection that survives life’s storms and still leaves you infatuated. Written as a surprise for her husband on their 10th wedding anniversary, it’s one of Marta’s most personal releases yet, unafraid to show love in its rawest and most enduring form. With shimmering production and Marta’s soaring vocals at the centre, ‘Run Away’ is an uplifting reminder that real love is the most powerful force of all, whether it feels messy or sincere.
Kanadia - 'Slide off the Earth'
Kanadia follow on from last month’s Song of the Week ‘Too Late Now’ with a haunting new single ‘Slide Off The Earth’, another single to be taken from their forthcoming album, ‘The Fire That’s Tearing Through Our Home’, out September 26th. The track pairs a pensive rhythm with desert-like slide guitar and captivating emotive vocals. Lyrically, it explores the urge to step away from the daily grind and escape with someone you love, balancing intimacy with existential weight. It’s a striking, darkly beautiful statement that sets the tone for the Oxford band’s most expansive and raw work yet, in what is building to be a genuine album of the year contender.

Olivia Miceli - 'Darling, he doesn't care'
Olivia Miceli continues her superb 2025 with the release of her second single of the year, the empowering anthem ‘Darling, he doesn’t care’. Miceli’s lyricism is always masterful, but this new track in particular is one of her most uplifting, confident, and catchiest to date. ‘Darling, he doesn’t care’ track turns heartbreak into liberation, urging listeners to move on from the one who was never worth it. The sharp lyricism blended with an earworm chorus make this a pop moment built to sing along to, and with the single written, recorded, produced, and mastered entirely by Olivia herself, it’s a bold reminder of the depths of her musical talents.
SKAYA - 'Bottle Up This Feeling'
Danish pop artist SKAYA continues her ambitious run of releasing a new single monthly with her latest release, ‘Bottle Up This Feeling’. Blending folk and indie-pop into her signature sassy yet honest sound, SKAYA invites listeners into a world of raw storytelling, this time capturing the weight of emotions we often try to contain. The track has already marked a huge milestone in her journey, resonating with more people than ever before and showing just how deeply her music connects. With a new single arriving on the first Friday of every month, fans won’t have long to wait before the next chapter unfolds. This has been a real breakout year for SKAYA, and she is showing no signs of slowing down.

Gina Zo - 'I Need To Cry'
Gina Zo’s new single ‘I Need to Cry’ is a synth-soaked anthem about embracing your emotions and finding your people. Euphoric yet introspective, the track pairs shimmering synths with Gina’s powerful, expressive vocals, creating a cathartic release that invites listeners to celebrate their true selves. The song encourages letting go of restraint and leaning fully into joy, connection, and self-acceptance in the most uplifting and unapologetically honest way. With danceable energy and emotional depth throughout, ‘I Need to Cry’ is an outstanding statement from an artist unafraid to feel deeply, stand confidently, and inspire others to do the same.
Eels! Eels! Eels! - 'Live Long, Fen Tiger'
Eels! Eels! Eels! return with their fiery new single, ‘Live Long, Fen Tiger’, a raw, untamed anthem that channels the fierce independence of the Fen Tigers, “people who stood their ground, lived off the land, and made themselves heard against all odds”. With hard-hitting beats, gritty guitars, and vocals that refuse to be tamed, the track is a celebration of survival, rebellion, and reclaiming your voice. Eels! Eels! Eels! have firmly cemented themselves as one of the premiere acts on East Anglia’s grassroots scene, and with continued releases this good, it feels only a matter of time before the rest of the country catches on.

Blue Deputy - 'Agoraphobe'
This week’s Songs of the Weeks are rounded out by Belfast-based trio Blue Deputy, and their new single ‘Agoraphobe’, a highlight from their forthcoming debut five-track EP, Reeling. Combining a melodic midwest emo sound with shoegaze influences, Blue Deputy have created a track the track pairs crushingly honest lyrics with lush harmonies. ‘Agoraphobe’ captures the tension of isolation and the longing for connection whilst highlighting the musical prowess the trio possess, a theme that was also reflected in recent singles ‘Big Fleece’ and ‘Cypress’. Blue Deputy are already making a name for themselves, and by the time their debut EP Reeling drops on September 22nd, they could easily be one of the biggest acts to watch across the whole music landscape.
