Must See Shows
Biffy Clyro @ Finsbury Park
Finsbury Park, London - 3rd July 2026

The next event in my must-see shows is Biffy Clyro's huge Finsbury Park show on July 3rd. It is the band's biggest headline show to date, being joined by Nothing But Thieves, Don Broco, Marmozets and Wavves for what is shaping up to be one of the most unmissable rock events of the summer.
The scale of this show says everything about where Biffy Clyro are right now. A 45,000-capacity outdoor headline is a landmark moment for any band, but for Biffy this feels like the natural culmination of years spent cementing themselves as one of the most vital live acts Scotland has produced. Festival headline slots at Reading, Leeds, Download and beyond have long since proven they can command a crowd of any size, and their January arena tour selling out all nine dates before the year had barely started only underlines where they are in 2026. Their fourth UK number one 'Futique' arrived to widespread critical acclaim, providing further proof that nearly three decades in, the band are still operating at the peak of their powers.
Nothing But Thieves make for a genuinely exciting special guest. Their last album 'Dead Club City' saw the band receive their first UK number one album, and all the new music from upcoming record 'Stray Dogs' has proved there are no signs of slowing down. Conor Mason and the band have built a reputation for live shows that move with real dramatic purpose, and arriving at Finsbury Park in the middle of a run that has taken them across multiple continents and a stellar slot at Radio 1's Big Weekend, they will be sharp and firing on all cylinders.
Don Broco are for me the most exciting addition to this bill, arriving fresh off the release of their fifth album Nightmare Tripping and in the middle of a world tour that has been building to moments exactly like this. Having reviewed their Wembley Arena show last year, I have no hesitation in saying they are one of the best live bands of their generation. Rob Damiani commands a room unlike almost anyone else on a UK rock stage right now, and the band around him, Si Delaney's crunching riffs, Tom Doyle's seismic basslines and Matt Donnelly holding everything together, create a live experience that gets bigger and better every time you see it. If you have not seen Don Broco live yet, Finsbury Park is as good a place as any to fix that.
Marmozets arrive in similarly fine form, returning after an extended hiatus with new album Co.War.Dice behind them and all the raw, uncompromising energy that made them such a compelling prospect before the break. Becca Macintyre remains one of the most commanding voices in British rock and the band's return to the live circuit has done nothing to diminish that. Wavves round out a bill that is unapologetically guitar-led from top to bottom, the California noise-pop veterans bringing a fuzzed-out energy that sits perfectly in a lineup like this.
Biffy Clyro's show opens what is shaping up to be a remarkable weekend at Finsbury Park, with Kasabian headlining the following night on Saturday 4 July, joined by Razorlight, Louis Dunford, The K's, Miles Kane and SOFY, before Wolf Alice close out the weekend on Sunday 5 July alongside The Last Dinner Party, Lykke Li, Rachel Chinouriri, Keo and Florence Road. Three consecutive nights, three very different headliners, and a supporting cast across all three days that makes the whole weekend worth serious consideration.
