Mighty Hoopla 2026

The next shows in my 2026 Must See Show series sees us head back to London, specifically to Brockwell Park, for Mighty Hoopla across the bank holiday weekend of 30 and 31 May. Having covered the festival before, I can say with confidence that there are few events on the calendar that match it for sheer joy, vibrancy and inclusivity. It is one of the most welcoming festival environments you will find anywhere in the UK with the music to match and the 2026 lineup does nothing to diminish that reputation.

Lily Allen headlines Saturday with a full performance of 'West End Girl', her first album since 2018's 'No Shame' and one that arrived to widespread acclaim. It is a headline slot that feels genuinely significant, the kind of performance that will linger well beyond the weekend. Scissor Sisters close out Sunday, with Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis continuing their celebrated return following a landmark 2025 that included a sold-out UK arena tour and a legendary Glastonbury set. Two headliners, two very different energies, both absolutely right for what Mighty Hoopla is.

The supporting cast across both days is exactly what you would hope for. Saturday brings Jessie J, JLS, Tulisa, Heather Small, Liberty X, Mae Muller, The Artful Dodger and Appleton among others, while Sunday lines up Five, Perrie, Alexandra Burke, Estelle, Louise, Cascada and a DJ set from RuPaul's Drag Race star Trixie Mattel. Jane McDonald takes the Gay Icon Slot on Sunday in what will be her first ever festival performance, an annual tradition that always delivers one of the weekend's most memorable moments. Queertopia returns as a dedicated stage showcasing the best emerging names from within the queer space and The Bump brings DJ sets to round out what is already an extraordinarily stacked bill.

Mighty Hoopla sold over 35,000 tickets in just 30 minutes following the initial headline announcement, and remaining tickets are extremely limited.
