These are the 10 new tracks you need to check out this week!

Mae Muller - 'Breakaway'

After a 15 month hiatus from music, pop-icon Mae Muller has returned with her anthemic new single 'Breakaway'. The single is the first of Mae's new era as an independent artist, having 'broken away' from her past label and management. This has allowed Mae to fully dive into creating the music she wants to, providing one of the her most authentic and introspective releases to date, which also happens to be an absolute banger!

The Lottery Winners ft. Chad Kroeger - 'Ragdoll'

The Lottery Winners have teamed up with Nickelback vocalist Chad Kroeger for new song 'Ragdoll', the final single to have been released from the band's new album KOKO which was released on Friday. The song sees bassist Katie Lloyd lead vocals with a truly moving performance, before Kroeger's distinct raw vocals kick in to add an extra layer of excellence to the track. Not only does 'Ragdoll' work incredibly well as a standalone single, it also perfectly captures the emotional depthon show throughout the entire new album.

Andrew Cushin - 'A Song For You'

Andrew Cushin, one of the best British songwriters of the last decade, dropped his brand new single 'A Song For You' last week, and it is up there with his very best. The track takes the form of a poignant love song, but utilises Cushin's lyrical excellence rather than relying on tired clichés. Much like much of Andrew Cushin's music there is an aspect of melancholy blended with real feelings of hopefulness creating a sonic emotional rollercoaster. The new single will also appear on Andrew Cushin' second album 'Love Is For Everyone', which is out May 2nd.

The Molotovs - 'More More More'

One of the year's most highly anticipated releases also dropped this week, as highly regarded group The Molotovs released their debut single 'More More More'. The generation spanning sound The Molotovs create is beyond impressive, as they would feel just as at home amongst the mod scenes of yesteryear as they do in a fresh rock scene today. This is catchy rock at its very best, and if this is a sign of things to come for The Molotovs we really could be looking at the country's next great headliners.

Natalie Gray - 'Young Hearts'

2024's SBTM Music Personality of the Year Natalie Gray has just dropped her first single of 2025, and it is a big one! 'Young Hearts' is a cover version of the Candi Station classic 'Young Hearts Run Free', blending the anthemic nature of the original track with a synthpop styling that allows Natalie to showcase her breathtaking vocals. It is so easy to release cover songs that are almost carbon copies of the originals, but with 'Young Hearts' Natalie Gray has managed to completely reimagine a classic into a styling that feels uniquely her, and it is much better for it.

Chloe Charlotte - 'cool about it'

'cool about it' is the stellar new track from one of the fastest rising names in pop music, Chloe Charlotte. The song has dropped at the perfect time of the year, feeling like the perfect soundtrack for these wamer days. Chloe has paired her incredible relatable lyricism with an upbeat summery backing to create a catchy indie-pop tune that has not left my mind since first listen. 'cool about it' also acts as the last song Chloe will release before she drops her highly anticipated new EP this summer.

Bino Bames - 'Cocktail Princess'

Last week also saw the release of brand new track 'Cocktail Princess' from genre-blending artist Bino Bames. The song has been paired with a stellar music video, which was impressively filmed and directed by Bino himself. The track is the perfect introduction to Bino's music, showcasing not only his incredible vocal prowess but also his raw visceral approach to creating anthemic songs that will immediately grab your attention. Bino Bames is definitely one to watch, possessing a seemingly limitless potential

Lauren Amour - 'Walls'

Lauren Amour has stepped into 2025 with 'Walls', her powerful first release of the year. The track combines an infectiously upbeat backing track with some emotional lyrics about reflecting on the house you grew up in and the stories you leave behind. 'Walls' acts as yet another example of how exemplary Lauren's songwriting is, crafting a deeply personal song that can still be emotionally adapted to whoever is listening. From first listen this song had me feeling instantly nostalgic and reflective.

Matilda Pratt - 'Ruin Our Friendship'

Matilda Pratt has been one of the most featured artists on Songs Behind the Music over the last few years, and her newest release proves exactly why. 'Ruin Our Friendship' sees Matilda perfectly capture the messiness that comes with falling for a best friend, written in the unique brand of indie-pop that she has instantly made her own. Matilda seems to effortlessly create the most exceptional songs that are as relatable as they are enjoyable, and this new release may just be the best of the bunch.

Eleonora - 'Ghost of Me'

'Ghost of Me' is the hauntingly powerful new release from Eleonora, who has created a moving soundscape to perfectly convey the feelings of people trying to control how you should feel and act throughout life. Eleonora's soulful vocals are on full display throughout, complemented by an atmospheric backing track that utilises orchestral elements like string sections to in the most spellbinding way
