After taking a break in 2024, Splendour Festival, one of the UK's most beloved festivals, returns to Nottingham’s picturesque Wollaton Park on July 19th and 20th. The festival announced its return with a huge two-day line-up that features some of indie music's biggest names, alongside some pop and rock greats. This live music is paired with hilarious comedy and a celebration of culture and community to create a distinct, vibrant atmosphere, making it a highlight of the UK summer festival calendar.

The Saturday night will be headlined by the iconic Bloc Party, who are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album Silent Alarm by playing it in full, alongside a number of their greatest hits from other records. Alongside Bloc Party at the top of the bill will be hometown hero and past headliner Jake Bugg, who will bring his huge indie-folk hits to an adoring audience. Clean Bandit will also be taking over Saturday's Splendour stage, bringing along their infectious electronic-pop sound that will go down perfectly in the summer sun. Other noticeable acts to playing the festival's Splendour Stage on Saturday include timeless pop star Natasha Bedingfield, the ever-engaging Elvana and a special showcase of local talent through the 'Future Sound of Nottingham' winner.

However, Splendour offers so much more than just the Splendour Stage (its main stage), with undoubtedly epic sets to be expected on the secondary Confetti Stage from the likes of Seasick Steve, Starsailor and Kingfishr, to name a few. There will also be a number of exciting upcoming artists gracing 'The Bodega Stage', named in homage to one of the city's most iconic grassroots venues. Whilst day splits haven't been confirmed for this stage yet, there are some truly exciting names announced for the weekend, including Tom A. Smith, TTSFU and Cardinals.

Alongside the music, there will also be a number of upbeat cultural offerings via the 'On The Hill Stage', and some riproaring laughter on the 'Comedy Stage'. Again, daysplits for these stages have also not been announced, but a number of high-energy shows have been confirmed for the 'On The Hill Stage', including 'A History Of Drum & Bass', 'Taylor In Wonderland' and 'Thank ABBA For The Music'. Likewise, the 'Comedy Stage' will see some of the country's wittiest comics showcase their talents to the Nottingham crowd, including Friz Frizzle, Scott Bennett and Paul McCaffrey.

The high-energy entertainment continues into Sunday, with an equally impressive line-up, headlined by a mammoth show by stalwarts of British Music, Kaiser Chiefs. The band is spending 2025 celebrating the 20th anniversary of their iconic debut album 'Employment', playing the record in full at Splendour, alongside several of their other biggest hits. Headliner duties will also be shared with Scottish legends Travis, who will bring a set full of crowd-pleasing anthems to Wollaton Park. These two bands are joined by a number of other marquee names on the Splendour Stage, including the dance-pop brilliance of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and the rowdy-indie excellence of The Fratellis.

The line-up for Sunday's Confetti Stage is equally impressive, featuring a number of acts who have the calibre of main stage headliners, such as Echo & The Bunnymen and Levellers. These two celebrated acts will be joined by the tongue-in-cheek pop of Kate Nash, and the UK's most recent Eurovision entry Remember Monday. A host of exciting upcomers will also take over the stage, including Overpass and another 'Future Sound of Nottingham' Winner.

Much like Saturday, there will be a variety of entertainment on 'The Bodega Stage', 'On The Hill Stage', and 'Comedy Stage', with two more stages also bringing the party over the weekend. The brand new 'Day Fever' stage will bring "The UK's Biggest Daytime Party" to Nottingham, whilst the 'Dance Stage' will allow highly renowned DJs to get audiences moving.

With a whole schedule of musical and cultural brilliance all set in the most serene of settings, it is no surprise why Splendour Festival continues to be a must-attend event on the UK's festival scene.
