Butcher Babies and Judge & Jury - 'Black Clouds Over Georgia'
"The first seeds of ‘NIGHTBLOOM’ were planted over two years ago as I sat across from my therapist, trying to make sense of where I’d been and who I was becoming. These songs became an extension of those conversations; an outlet that forced me to come face to face with old wounds and new chapters that were being written in real time."

Chayce Beckham - 'Ain't Lying To Myself'
“When I set out to start writing for this project I really wanted to keep it as raw and real as I possibly could. My love for the sound of country music from the 70’s still just lights me up and my goal was to approach these songs with that in mind but with a freshness that still plays into what is happening today. I write from a place of truth and from moments I have either lived or witnessed. I love where we landed on these songs and I am grateful to play them on stage each night.”

Jayelle & bludnymph - 'Raised by Wolves'
J: "I'd written "Raised by Wolves" years ago to pitch to bludnymph before I knew her and I always had a soft spot for it even when it was trapped on my hard drive. When I restarted my artist project and blud suggested we collaborate, I immediately knew this crazy, out of pocket song was the one."
B: "I don’t think this song could have found a more perfect place, or that we could have a more perfect song as our first collab together. We have so much fun outside of work as besties and I feel that has translated perfectly into our spooky, sexy, outrageous creation. Hope you love it as much as we do."

Maisi and the Disco - 'Madonna'
"This song is an ode to the absolute icon that is Madonna!!!! she is a true artist and a huge inspiration to me and soooo many other people. I am so grateful to have grown up with her to watch and learn from and enjoy"

Loie - 'Run For The Hills'
"I wrote this song on my way out of a situationship. An opportunity came up to go to the States, and I really needed the escape, so I put my big girl pants on and got on that plane. It was my first solo trip, and being away gave me some space to get perspective on what was happening back home. That’s when I wrote ‘Run For The Hills’. It sounds super cute, but it’s probably one of my more unfiltered perspectives. I don’t often tap into that side of myself, but it’s very truthful to how I was feeling at the time.”

Lapse - 'Trilobites'
R: "The title actually comes from a short story I was reading about the costs of a failure to grow in relationships and someone becoming a victim to their own fears."
B: "'Trilobites’ evolved a lot in the studio from how we’ve been playing it live! We’re so excited for people to hear it, and hope they can find comfort in the lyrics."

Tilly Fenton - 'Rearview'
"It honestly feels really cathartic and slightly nerve wracking to be releasing Rearview. In comparison to some of my other songs, Rearview feels vulnerable, and while writing it I definitely bared my soul in the process. It feels a little scary putting those emotions out into the world so openly, especially because my releases this year have been more carefree and fun, and there was a small part of me that was hesitant to release it because the lyrics are so raw and dramatic. I really hope that people can relate to the song and maybe even use it as a way to let out all of those bittersweet, yearning and frustrating feelings that come with wanting to move on but still having so much left unsaid."

GIOIA - 'riviera drive-in'
“It all started from the title of the original sample, ‘Shark Jazz Band’: the word ‘Shark’ immediately evoked an image of the sea for me, made even more concrete by the guitar riff from the original track. As soon as I heard that funky guitar and those jazz horns, I was immediately struck, and I decided to build ‘riviera drive-in’ around sampling those exact sounds. The original track offers so many musical ideas I could have sampled. I think I ended up picking the most unusual part, but also the one that intrigued me the most."

Orchid - 'Girl's Girl'
"Beach Gothic feels like it’s the first project I’ve ever made. The beach itself always feels like that to me; the end of the earth or the start of something new, depending on how you see it. It was the last place I was before my heart was broken, which fits almost cosmically. I started writing the songs thinking this would be a heartbreak EP, while I was really inspired by Britney’s In The Zone, 90s European trance, and leaning into the R&B of my voice, but over time it clearly became about my experiences of heartbreak itself – all the rage, grief, mania, lightness, expansiveness, newness. 10/10, I’d do it all over again."

MINOE - 'Small Town Girls'
"When I wrote Small Town Girls, it instantly became the anchor of the entire album. The lyrics are an ode to the young women raised in tough situations, and an aspirational envisioning of what life can look like once you leave home. My small town shaped me, and today, I wouldn't change a thing about being a small town girl"

Jake Whiskin - 'Over The Edge'
"I think the heart of the EP is really about excess in different forms - bad habits, nostalgia, heartache and the places we go when we’re looking for an escape. The songs are introspective and vulnerable, but the arrangements are expansive, and melody-led; so there’s an interesting juxtaposition. To me it conjures this feeling of being alone when walking through the city at night, blaring music in your headphones and feeling disconnected from the world"

Lauren Amour - 'SCARY MOVIE'
"'Scary Movie' is an addictive pop song about a relationship you know you should run from, but keep coming back to. Loosely inspired by the world of Scream, it turns toxic love into a horror movie metaphor, knowing exactly how the story ends, but pressing play anyway. With playful, cinematic production and tongue-in cheek horror references, it’s a messy, dramatic and fun take on the addictive pull of someone you just can’t stop watching."

Sarah Smith - 'Point of No Return'
"It’s a song for the anxious-avoidant girlies. I'm drawn to big, nostalgic pop that can make sadness and anxiety feel cinematic and beautiful. I grew up on the Tumblr and recession-pop eras, and I love that melodramatic world-building, where escapism and anxiety can coexist."

sienna tenn - 'are we lovers?'
"“are we lovers?” is all about ultimatum, confrontation and unapologetic honesty, facing someone with the question, ‘are we lovers or do you love her?’. It’s all about fighting for someone to commit, to fight for and choose you too. I had such a fun time making something this synth powered with that catchy pure pop energy and hope you have as much fun listening to it!"

Renon - 'NOTHING'S EVER GONNA CHANGE'
"Before this song came to be I was torn between leaning more into pop or alternative, but once I made the first demo I got my answer. It just felt so natural and so “me” that I knew I had to make music that I feel creatively connected to and not what I think others will like. I also felt like lyrically this song is a perfect introduction to the theme of my upcoming music.
I’m really hoping to find people who relate to the lyrics the way I do! Maybe people who don’t necessarily come from picture perfect happy families or have struggled with mental health throughout their lives. I really hope my upcoming music can be a safe place to scream that pain out and feel less alone."

Mardy - 'IDK'
"‘IDK’ is about that weird bit in a relationship where you’re stuck between knowing it’s probably over and still hoping it isn’t. It’s about the back-and-forth, the false hope, and that feeling of giving everything to something only to end up right back where you started. I think there’s something quite relatable about not really knowing whether to let go or keep holding on, and that’s what I wanted to capture with the song. It’s messy, a little bit chaotic, and probably more oversharing than we intended, to be honest."
Mardy's Lily on the track

Liv Dawn - 'If We Make It'
"The song explores the fear and uncertainty that comes with allowing another person to see your scars, imperfections and past experiences, while simultaneously yearning for the connection and love that comes with opening yourself up. The imagery of making it to the top of the mountain becomes a metaphor for everything endured along the way: the hope, resilience, vulnerability and feeling of having made it through together."
Liv on the track
Angel Wong - 'Seeing Red'
"‘Seeing Red’ is an alt-indie pop track exploring the red-pill and ‘broicism’ movements, and the way ideas of Stoicism can be stripped of their context to justify emotional repression and self-optimisation. Moving between ‘zoo-ified’ suburbia and substance-induced escapism, the song digs into performative desire, masculinity and the strange ways we measure our value in a material-driven world. Sonically, the track brings East and West together, weaving the Guzheng - a traditional Chinese string instrument - into distorted and acoustic guitars, angular harmonies and indie-rock vocals. The guzheng adds an unexpected, almost otherworldly texture to an otherwise gritty indie-rock palette, reflecting the song’s interest in the collision between different worlds."

Alexa Joyce - 'Sex on TV'
"Sex on TV’ was the first song I played people that I felt made them look at me differently as an artist. It was kind of my lightning in a bottle moment that made me feel like I was truly onto something. The song is super dark yet still Disco. The bass and drums, I feel, are really reminiscent of Madonna’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, which for me, is one of the greatest Pop albums of all time!"
